Waldegrave is an OfSTED rated ‘outsanding’ comprehensive school for girls aged 11 to 16 years in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. In September 2014 it opened a new, co-educational sixth form.
The School’s examination results are excellent and it has been the top 11-16 school in the country in the Sunday Times Parent Power table for the past four years.
In January 2014 Waldegrave became a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) with responsibility for Nelson Primary School.
Waldegrave School staff have supported the Campus proposal from the very beginning, offering their advice and expertise. In September 2014 the School officially became a subscribing member of the Richmond upon Thames College Free School Trust, the Academy Trust established to propose the new secondary school on the Campus, and the School’s Headteacher, Mrs Philippa Nunn, assumed the office of trustee.
Going forward Waldegrave School will share its staff and governing body expertise as the Free School Trust develops and support the new secondary school’s Principal Designate (when appointed). Waldegrave School staff will also be key contributors in the development of the new school’s curriculum.
